Kaba Anggun Nan Tongga
Kaba Anggun Nan Tongga is a famous kaba alias story in Minangkabau society. In Malay-speaking areas the story is known as Hikayat Anggun Cik Tunggal.
Kaba is telling about the adventure and love story between Anggun Nan Tongga and her lover Gondan Gondoriah. Anggun Nan Tongga sailed to leave his hometown in Kampung Dalam, Pariaman. He wanted to find three of his old uncles who did not return from wandering. While going to go Gondan Gondoriah requested that Nan Tongga lift home 120 objects and fauna rare and magical.
Although originally told by oral means various versions of this kaba have been recorded and recorded. One of them is composed Ambas Mahkota, first published in 1960 in Bukittinggi.

Nan Tongga is determined to wander looking for her mamak-mamak: Mangkudun Sati, Nangkodoh Rajo and Katik Intan.
