In ancient times, in West Java, a princess was named Dayang Sumbi. He has a boy named Sangkuriang. The child loves to hunt in the jungle. Every hunt, she is routinely taken care of by a favorite dog named Tumang. Tumang sebetulnya is a drop of the god, as well as the siblings of Sangkuriang, but Sangkuriang did not know the factor and his mother proved to deliberately conceal it.
On a typical day, Sangkuriang usually goes to the forest to hunt. After arriving in the forest, Sangkuriang began searching for a game. Because very annoyed at Tumang, Sangkuriang then expelled Tumang and was not allowed to go home with him again.
Arriving at home, Sangkuriang told the incident about his mother. As soon as he heard the story of his son, Dayang Sumbi was very angry. He took a spoon of rice, and hit it to Sangkuriang's head. Because she was saddened by her mother's treatment, Sangkuriang decided to set out to travel, leaving her home.
After the incident, Dayang Sumbi neglected his work. She prayed daily, and asked for a day to meet her son again. Because of the sincerity of Dayang Sumbi's prayer, the Dewa gave him a gift of eternal beauty and young age forever.
After many years Sangkuriang traveled, eventually he intended to return to his hometown. Arriving there, he was very surprised, because his hometown had changed completely. The Sangkuriang's happy feeling grew when on the way to meet a very beautiful woman, who was none other than Dayang Sumbi. Because of the beauty of the woman, Sangkuriang immediately marries her. Finally Sangkuriang's application was accepted by Dayang Sumbi, and agreed to be married soon. On a day, Sangkuriang asked his wife's permission to hunt down. Before leaving, he asked Dayang Sumbi to tighten and smooth his belt. How surprised is Dayang Sumbi, because when he is smashed Sangkuriang's headband, he watches a scar. The wound was similar to his scars. After inquiring about Sangkuriang about the cause of the wound, Dayang Sumbi was more surprised, because it was true that her future husband was her own.
Dayang Sumbi was very worried because he was not married to his own son. After Sangkuriang came home hunting, Dayang Sumbi tried to say to Sangkuriang, so that Sangkuriang had their wedding plan. The request of Dayang Sumbi was not approved by Sangkuriang, and it was only considered the last wind.

Both conditions must be finalized before dawn.
Sangkuriang agreed to both Dayang Sumbi's request, and promised to finish it before dawn. With his magic, Sangkuriang then deployed his friends from the jinn to help complete the task. When watching the color of flushing in the east of the city, Sangkuriang thought that the day had come to an end. Feeling annoyed and sad, Sangkuriang then crashed into a dam that he had made himself. For the dam broke out, there was a flood and the whole city was submerged. Sangkuriang also kicked the big boat he had made. The boat drifted and fell deeply into the deep, then became a mountain called Tangkuban Perahu.
